Christopher Palacios

born and raised IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, artist-designer-educator, Palacios graduated from the Los Angles County High School for the Arts at Cal State Los Angles where he studied Theatre.

He received a BFA in Photo+Drawing from California College of the Arts or CCA in 1996 where we was also a MFA Candidate in 2000/2001 and received an All College Honors Award, Honorable Mention. 

Palacios is a nationally recognized visual artist. He was Visiting Assistant Professor of Graphic Design from 2004-2008 at the School of Art + Design, Ohio University, Athens.


His work has been exhibited at Galeria de la Raza, Mission Cultural Center, Terrain Gallery, Kennedy Museum, Southern Exposure Gallery and has been included in the Drawing Center’s West Coast Viewing Program. His professional record includes work as a freelance corporate web designer for a Fortune 500 company and several bay area creative agencies. His research has been presented at AIGA Educators Conferences in Nashville, Tennessee and Boston, Massachusetts.

Retreating from the economic trappings of the digital age and having had a spiritual awakening Palacios left the temperate climate of San Francisco his home of nearly 20 years.

In 2012, Palacios relocated to east Portland with his dog Layla to help further the next phase of Portland, Oregon’s cultural transition into a diverse urban cultural landscape.
