Wrkt July 21. 2019: PZS
a new performative publication by christopher palacios’ rmp/art/
We were on site today with outlet pdx at Pacific Northwest College of Art for this year’s PZS, Portland Zine symposium.
PZS is annual free conference that explores the facets of independent publishing and DIY culture. DIY is short for, Do It Yourself, the movement inspired by the independent publishing and arts and crafts movements.
Pacific Northwest College of Art is one of many art schools in Portland and is defined by a beautiful campus called, The Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design and is situated within one of Portland’s most problematic neighborhoods in terms of race and class. Not exactly an exemplary example of progressiveness, as stated at PNCA’s website in spite of the beautiful architecture.
